Historic Veresdale Hotel for Sale at Auction

The historic Veresdale Hotel near the major growth area of Beaudesert in South East Queensland is being offered for sale via auction by Ray White Hotels Australia.

The hotel was established in the 1880s and is located at 6202 Mount Lindesay Highway, Veresdale. It is being marketed by Leon Alaban and Brent McCarthy of Ray White Hotels Australia.

Leon Alaban said the single level hotel comprises three bars, a bistro with dining area, large outdoor deck areas, two beer gardens, gaming room with nine electronic gaming machines (EGMs) as well as TAB and Keno facilities.

“The Veresdale Hotel is situated on the border of the Scenic Rim Region and the city of Logan within the heart of Queensland’s richest dairy, beef and horse stud area,” he said.

“The hotel has undergone numerous renovations and extensions over its 130 year history with the latest being completed in 2012.  The Hotel was once a local gathering place for the local farmers to trade and acquire neighbouring produce and livestock.”

Brent McCarthy said the hotel’s dining area and deck overlook the neighbouring grasslands.

“These areas enjoy uninterrupted views over the countryside,” he said.

“The dining area accommodates approximately 50 patrons while the deck area has seating for approximately 80 people. Adjacent to this area is a lower level beer garden with numerous picnic tables providing seating for approximately 50 patrons.”

Brent McCarthy said reports from Scenic Rim Council show that Beaudesert’s population is predicted to increase from approximately 14,000 to 47,000 by 2036.

“A major driver for this growth will be the newly approved $27.5 million Beaudesert Bypass which will reduce the number of heavy vehicles through the centre of Beaudesert by creating a more efficient alternate route,” he said.

The hotel will be auctioned on site at 10am on Friday, April 22, 2016.
