Major Investa award for Ray White Commercial Office Leasing Sydney ‘lifesavers’

Their clients already know them as leasing lifesavers but now it’s official.

Ray White Commercial’s Office Leasing Sydney team received the special inaugural Lifesaver Deal award at Investa’s annual NSW gala event, which recognises the industry’s top leasing performers.

More than 100 guests attended the February 15 function at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Sculpture Terrace to acknowledge the contribution and hard work of the agencies who represent Investa’s properties in the market.

Director Jeremy Piggin and Principal Anthony Harris earned the accolade by brokering a critical eleventh-hour deal at Investa’s 420 George Street building.

While the pair are not yet able to reveal details of the transaction, they admit it was challenging — although not quite the same challenge faced by Investa group executive Michael Cook as he addressed the awards night at the harbourside venue.

“The highlight of the evening must have been the wise words spoken by Michael, punctuated at the end of every sentence by the blasting sounds of a massive passenger ship’s horn,” Mr Harris says.

There were five awards presented on the night — Deal Of The Year, Fastest Deal, Sweetest Deal and Agent Of The Year, as well as Ray White Commercial’s Lifesaver Deal.

“While successful transactions are always attractive and rewarded financially, Investa also seeks to reward effort, innovation and creativity amongst the leasing agents who work with us, with a view to inspiring outstanding performance,” Mr Cook says.

Mr Harris says: “The annual awards saw a terrific turnout from the office leasing agents at a magnificent venue. Many thanks to Investa’s Michael Cook, Kym Gardner and Jason Leong for continued support and such a great evening.”
