RWC has recorded an all sold clearance rate sat at 83.3 per cent as the network hits the halfway mark of its June Auction Showcase.

RWC auctions in June so far have recorded an average of eight registered bidders and 3.4 active bidders.

“At the halfway point in our June Auction Showcase we’re pleased to see all the positive auction results achieved by our network so far,” Mr Linacre said.

“Properties which have sold under the hammer with RWC in June received premiums an average of 23.2 per cent higher than the highest offer received prior to auction.

“We believe the transparent auction process allows us to meet the market and provide the best results for our clients.”

In NSW, a stand out result went to RWC Western Sydney agents Vee Li and Joseph Assaf sold 144 Merrylands Road, Merrylands, under the hammer for $1.88 million, almost 20 per cent above the reserve. The auction (pictured above) recorded a whopping 14 registered bidders, with six active. Mr Assaf said the property attracted some interest from investors, but the majority of interest came from owner occupiers in the medical, beauty and fashion industries.

“The buyer was a local owner occupier who owns a business in the Stockland Mall across the road,” he said.

“The property had an expired lease that suited owner occupiers and, as a result, attracted a premium as the buyers already had an existing business in the Merrylands to relocate, as opposed to paying rent not towards the future growth of the asset.”

In Queensland, a standout auction came from RWC Gold Coast agents Peter Laoudikos and Matt Taylor who sold 6 Ereton Drive, Arundel, under the hammer for $3.5 million on behalf of interstate investors. With interest coming from a mix of owner occupiers and investors, the property recorded a whopping 21 registered bidders and 13 active bidders. With Ray White Queensland CEO and auctioneer Jason Andrew calling the auction (pictured above), the winning bid went to an owner occupier.

Another standout Queensland auction came from RWC Queensland agents Brocke Hambrecht and Michael McCullagh, alongside RWC Northern Corridor Group agents Michael Shadforth and Samuael Hoy, sold 506 Maroochydore Road, Kunda Park, under the hammer for $3.525 million. With Ray White auctioneer Phil Parker on the gavel, the property recorded 11 registered bidders, with spirited bidding from six bidders on the day. The winning bid went to a private local investor.
