Commercial auctions deliver outstanding results nationwide
RWC has wrapped up its June Auction Showcase with strong results, confirming the power of the auction process for commercial property across the country.
Across the month, 64 commercial assets went under the hammer in capital cities and regional centres, achieving a national clearance rate of 73 per cent. On average, each property attracted 4.3 registered bidders, with 3.5 actively participating on auction day - a testament to the depth of buyer interest.
Most notably, sellers who opted to go the distance to auction achieved prices 12.98 per cent higher than the best offers received prior to the day.
“This was a resounding success for both our sellers and the new owners of these commercial properties,” said James Linacre, head of agency at RWC. “Each auction represented a story of competition, confidence, and the kind of future planning that drives our market forward.”
“The calibre of property offered was outstanding - from multi-unit residential blocks and industrial warehouses to heritage waterfront venues,” Mr Linacre said. “When we market quality property in this way, we often see record results.”

Mr Linacre said the success of the showcase was also a reflection of the agency’s auction expertise and the commitment of its people.
“We have a group of exceptionally talented agents who are honing their craft and executing auctions at the highest level,” he said. “It’s about putting the best outcome for our clients at the centre of everything we do.”
“Whether it’s a seasoned investor selling down a portfolio, or a business owner looking to secure a new headquarters, these auctions delivered results that exceeded expectations.”
RWC will now turn its attention to its End of Year Auction Showcase, scheduled to run from mid November - mid December.
“We’re already preparing to take more than 100 commercial properties to market during that campaign,” Mr Linacre said. “And if the June results are anything to go by, we’ll be ending the year on a high.”
