An iconic Miami surfboard shop has sold prior to auction after being snapped up for $2.3 million.

Located at 24 Christine Avenue, the mixed-use property was marketed by RWC Gold Coast agent Peter Laoudikos on behalf of the vendors, the owners of Jack Knight Surfboards who were retiring after 32 years.

Mr Laoudikos said the 682sqm property received strong interest selling in 48 hours, after it had been on the market with another agency for three months prior.

“The market for this type of property is increasingly strong, it has retail and industrial aspects and a three bedroom apartment upstairs,” he said.

“We filtered through 48 buyer enquiries in less than 48 hours on the market.

“We had a mixture of local and interstate owner occupiers and investors look at it.

“We sold prior to auction to a local owner occupier who will be renovating the property.”

Mr Laoudikos said the buyer originally spotted the property via his creative Instagram campaign, including a reel which he starred in himself.
