Located at 96 Leisure Way, the prominent corner block at Old Coast Road was once home to the beloved Castle Fun Park, a popular local attraction that first opened in 1979.

The site, now earmarked for a mixed-use redevelopment, drew strong interest from investors, ultimately selling to Victorian-based developers, highlighting ongoing national confidence in Western Australia’s property market.

“This sale reinforces the strong appetite from interstate developers for strategic sites in Western Australia,” said Brett Wilkins, director at RWC WA.

“Buyers were particularly drawn to the site’s dual appeal, a childcare development already approved for part of the land, and the balance zoned for commercial and residential use.”

“Halls Head is a highly sought-after suburb in the City of Mandurah, 75 kilometres south of the Perth CBD,” Mr Wilkins said.

“With its well-established residential areas, scenic canal views, and easy access to major arterial roads, it’s easy to see why this area continues to attract both local and interstate interest.”

The site sits near the Halls Head district centre and is surrounded by major tenants including Bunnings and Repco, offering future development excellent visibility and foot traffic.

“Land parcels of this size and zoning, especially with partial tenancy in place and flexible redevelopment potential, are rare,” Mr Wilkins said. “It’s a significant opportunity that will contribute to the ongoing growth of the Halls Head community.”

The local vendor was pleased to see the iconic location passed on to developers with plans to revitalise the long-vacant block, once a vibrant community landmark.
