Anytime fitness lands new flagship on the Sunshine Coast
Global fitness brand Anytime Fitness has signed a new lease, becoming the first gym to move into Baringa’s Aura Business Park.
The 820sqm property provides the gym “billboard style” exposure to thousands of daily commuters.
33-37 Edison Crescent, Baringa is positioned at the front door of the Aura precinct on Bells Creek Arterial Road - the main thoroughfare for Stockland’s master planned community, connecting directly to the Bruce Highway.
Samuel Hoy and David Goldsworthy of RWC Northern Corridor Group secured the deal at a lease price of $296,030 per annum.
The new leasing highlights a growing trend in Queensland’s commercial landscape; transforming industrial precincts into community lifestyle hubs.
“The Anytime Fitness result is a strong example of the continued evolution of the Bells Creek Arterial Road corridor,” Mr. Goldsworthy said.
“While every tenancy has its own leasing strategy, we are seeing quality brands increasingly consider business park locations that provide convenience, parking and visibility outside of traditional shopping centre environments.”
“We are seeing a race for space along the Bells Creek Arterial Road. If you aren't on this road, you aren't being seen by the Coast's rapidly growing demographic."
Samuel Hoy said the deal drew fierce competition from national operators, driven by its high visibility frontage.
“The deal was secured off the plan and demonstrates the appeal this location has for established operators seeking exposure, accessibility and connection to the Coast’s growing population base" Mr. Hoy said.
The premium development boasts dual access through a rear laneway, multiple visitor car parks, and flexible business uses making it the ideal precinct for the new franchise.
