David Peterson is the Managing Director and owner of RWC Asset Management (QLD). Having originally established the division from scratch in October 2022, David recently acquired the franchise, cementing his commitment to building one of Queensland’s premier commercial asset management firms.

With a career defined by managing high-stakes portfolios, David specialises in maximising asset performance for High Net Worth individuals, property syndicators ad developers. He moves beyond traditional property management, offering strategic asset management designed to optimise lifecycle value, mitigate risk, and drive superior returns.

David’s expertise is built on a foundation of diverse, institutional-grade experience:

• Institutional Scale: As National Property Manager at JLL, David held accountability for the Suncorp Group’s national real estate portfolio—over 700 sites across commercial, retail, and industrial sectors—managing key brands including Suncorp Bank, GIO, and AAMI.
• Complex Asset Management: He began his career with the Brisbane Markets, managing a massive 77-hectare precinct comprising 35 buildings and 250 leases. This role honed his skills in complex lease administration and stakeholder management across multi-tenant and sole-occupancy logistics and retail assets.
• Growth & Leadership: Prior to establishing RWC Asset Management (QLD), David served as a Partner at First Asset Management. There, he was instrumental in developing the operational frameworks that saw the company’s assets under management grow to over $1.3 billion.

Now, as a franchise owner, David combines big-firm capability with boutique, hands-on service. He is passionate about providing a framework where market-leading specialists thrive, ensuring every client receives data-driven, value-focused results for their investment portfolio.
